Chick Corea Quartet - Live In New York, 1974 (1976)
Rare, mid 70's Italian pressing.
Contrary to what it says on the cover,
both of these cuts are not from 1974,...
nor were they recorded in New York...
With a little research,
i found that these {below} are the correct dates,
and groups (+info) that Chick was with
at the time of these recordings:
1. Return To Forever – Some Time Ago (C.Corea)
Bass – Stanley Clarke
Electric Piano – Chick Corea
Percussion, Vocals – Airto Moreira, Bill Tragesser
Saxophone [Soprano] – Joe Farrell
recorded July 1972 at Molde Jazz Festival
2. Circle – Nefertiti (W.Shorter)
Bass, Cello – Dave Holland
Drums – Barry Altschul
Piano – Chick Corea
Saxophones – Anthony Braxton
recorded March 19, 1971 in Bergamo, Italy

ReplyDelete@ monsterjazzlicks... yes, Bizarre cover indeed...i don't 'think' this release in itself, was EVER available on CD, it was just a Small Pressing Italian "Boot"...but those cuts could be available on other Chick compilations...(tho the DL link is right there if you want it, lol)
ReplyDeleteas far as that link the other user posted, i don't even remember what it was, & i have no control over that...
